Post tax-day events!
Greetings from the DGS offices! We hope that your tax day was as painless as possible and that you have a great weekend and Earth Day next week!
Our clients are up to some good stuff this weekend, please check them out:
MACHINE PROJECT AT THE HAMMER:
Registration begins on April 15th for an overnight Dream-In at the Hammer Museum co-hosted by Machine Project and Artspa. Dreamers are invited to camp out in the Hammer courtyard and collect any dreams that occur during their stay. The evening will feature experimental dreaming workshops, concerts, and bedtime stories, followed by a waking concert in the morning, all facilitated by a dreamy batch of local artist-psychonauts.

What to do this weekend
Machine Project:
Shape Note Singing Workshop from machine project by Michele
Sunday April 11th, 2010, 8pm
Led by Jessica Catron and Daniel Brummel
Free!
Come and learn as well as participate in a unique, alternative musical language. Utilizing a few shapes instead of basic music notation, the shape note form invites participants to hone in on harmonic structures in large groups, allowing beautiful sounds to materialize among people who have likely never sung together before. The music is easy, the sound is joyously resonant, and all voices are welcome — a willingness to sing is the only requirement.
Happy April from the studio of DGS!
We are plugging away, enjoying spring, with one eye on the monitor and the other taking in the view of the purple flower-covered Dodger stadium hillside outside our office. Also, the spring has brought a new addition to our studio, Nancy Julson-Reily, with her keen eye, smooth disposition and awesome outfits. She’s certainly upped the ante when it comes to our wardrobe choices in the morning!
