When we’re not working, we like to read. And smell paper.
And rub book covers. And look real up-close at pictures. At the core of our design practice is our love of books and contemporary art. We’ve been very fortunate in recent years to have the opportunity to work with several arts institutions on exhibition catalogs and artist books. Recent favorites have been two books on Sun Ra for WhiteWalls, a book supporting Edgar Arceneaux’s installation at Gallery 400 in Chicago, and the catalogue for the Fair Exchange exhibition at the L.A. County Fair. Each book project presents us with new things to learn, people to get to know, and fresh ideas to try out.
